How did you get into bowls?

My Dad introduced me to the sport when I was 11 bowling in friendlies with Northern Electric before I started with South Park at 12 years old.

Proudest achievement in bowls.

Under 25 County & Northern Counties Champion. I do have a Middleton Cup Medal from 2000 but never played in the finals.

One thing that you would like to achieve in bowls.

I haven’t yet qualified for Leamington and would love to regain the focus I had as a kid to achieve this. I also would love a bowls promoting/coaching role in future.

Best player that you have played with and against.

With – Harry Ashcroft (Indoor), David Bolt, John Leeman (Outdoor)

Against – Andy Kirtland, David Holt, Les Gillett

One thing that you enjoy most about bowls.

The competitive nature of the sport at all levels, there are different competitions to suit all levels of ability. 

One bit of advice that you would give to a new bowler.

Pick who you listen to carefully and ignore the negative attitudes that are the sports downfall, these people are very common in our sport.
